EC200U-CN 4G + 2G LTE Development Board – Quectel – Without GNSS

The EC200U-CN 4G + 2G LTE Development Board is a high-performance Cat 1 module that supports wireless communication modes, including LTE-TDD, LTE-FDD, GSM, GPRS, and EDGE. It offers 2G fallback capability, ensuring seamless operation by automatically switching to 2G networks when 4G is unavailable. This module does not include GNSS functionality.

The EC200U-CN supports a maximum downlink rate of 10 Mbps and an uplink rate of 5 Mbps. It features a serial interface and an onboard USB Type-C port, which allows users to connect the board to a computer to use it as a modem for internet access. The USB Type-C port also enables sending AT commands directly via USB, providing an additional convenient interface for communication. Based on the Quectel EC200U-CN LTE modem, this development board ensures reliable and efficient connectivity for a wide range of applications.

Compatibility Note: This board is pin-to-pin compatible with our SIMCOM A76XX series development boards.

• RING(RI): Detects incoming calls.
• DTR: Enables ultra-low-power sleep mode.
• STATUS(STA): Indicates the operational status of the module.
• NETLIGHT(NET): Allows an external LED connection to display network status.
• RESET: Enables resetting the module via an MCU or external control.
• USB Type-C: Allows the module to function as a modem for internet access and to send AT commands via USB.

Additionally, EC200U-CN 4G + 2G LTE Development Board offers pinouts for connecting speakers, microphones, and PWM signals, further enhancing its functionality. It features onboard UART logic level conversion, making it compatible with various host systems. A U.FL connector enables easy integration of external antennas for improved signal reception.

The compact design of the EC200U-CN 4G + 2G LTE Development Board allows for seamless integration into custom PCBs. It can also be securely mounted using screws. The module’s low power consumption in sleep mode (<25 mA) makes it suitable for battery-powered applications. The onboard voltage regulator (MIC29302WU) ensures stable operation, supporting input voltages as low as 5V.

The EC200U-CN supports multiple built-in network protocols, such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and MQTT. It is compatible with drivers for major operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Android. The AT commands are consistent with Quectel’s EC2X series modules, ensuring ease of use for developers.
